The position of Environmental Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation of environmental permits and amendments (including water and air), coordination of Environmental Management Systems (EMS), providing operational support, preparing regular reports for all facilities as required, and supporting the day to day environmental and compliance operations. The person in this role is a member of the facility team and is expected to comply with all safety requirements.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
The Environmental Coordinator reports to the Area Environment and Public Affairs Manager and will work closely with peers in the environmental organization and the assigned facility’s organization.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required Education: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Engineering, Science, Environmental Management or related discipline
Required Work Experience: 3-5 years
Required Computer and Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software
Travel Requirements: 10%
Other Related Experiences Preferred: 2-4 years’ experience of closely related work experience with a focus on air permitting (NSR, PSD, NSPS, Title V, MACT), water management (NPDES, water rights), solid waste management (RCRA) and other applicable regulatory requirements, experience in multi-media audits, experience with environmental monitoring systems, knowledge of New York state environmental rules and regulations desirable.
