To improve overall plant performance through improved equipment reliability. This is achieved through the implementation of reliability systems and practices including equipment condition monitoring, precision maintenance practices, root cause failure analysis, etc.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
This position will play a key role in the department in terms of detecting incipient failures and pre-empting costly or unsafe developments. Accordingly, this position must interact with all departments to gather and interpret observations, behaviors, or symptoms of operating equipment. This position is a high influencer of others, both inside and outside direct hierarchy, on matters of operating procedure, recommendations, and trials.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required Education: High School diploma/GED
Additional Education Preferred: Associates/College Degree
Preferred field of study: Mechanical Engineering
Other Training/Certifications Required: Working experience in Vibration Analysis and Tribology would be considered and asset. Vibration Analysis Level 1
Work Experience: 7-10 years
Travel Requirements: 10%
Computer and Software Skills: Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office, exposure to SAP a plus.
