  • Overview

    The Plant Engineer is assigned to identifying, developing and implementing engineering and system projects to improve plant condition, operability, reliability, cost, environmental and safety performance. In carrying out the duties of this position, a primary objective is to improve the value of all company assets through increased reliability and lower operating costs while allowing the operation of the equipment to meet production requirements within budget guidelines.



    • Plant improvement projects of varying scope and sizes
    • Assist in planning and guiding critical corrective maintenance activities
    • Annual shutdown projects
    • Definition of equipment and component replacement strategy based on systematic risk evaluation.
    • Coordination with rCIP North America Maintenance and Technology
    • Guarantee and foster compliance with OH&S and environment policies for all maintenance personnel and contractors. 
    • Contribute to safety culture and tackle specific actions to ensure health and safety prevention during maintenance activities. 
    • Contribute to plant housekeeping and cleanliness. Internal controls providing reasonable assurance of effective and efficient operations, including actions to prevent and detect fraud and protect
    • Conduct the necessary activities to maintain and improve the condition of the installations/assets and to assure proper functioning of equipment and systems. 
    • Develop improvement solutions based on root cause failure analysis and system performance analysis
    • Execute improvement actions through the use of internal labor and contractors


    • Assist production department with mechanical problems
    • Work with maintenance coordinator to execute preventive and predictive maintenance program
    • Work with system engineer in improving the plant reliability
    • Assist maintenance manager in the development of the maintenance budget and the tracking of expenses
    • Provide assistance in the mechanical design and execution of plant capital projects.



    Required Education: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree
    Field of Study Preferred: Mechanical Engineering
    Required Work Experience: 5 years
    Required Computer and Software Skills: Comprehensive computer software knowledge required, including Excel, Word, Project, Auto CAD, SAP, etc. is preferred.

    Travel Requirements: Minimal
