  • Overview


    Contribute to reach maximum availability / reliability of the electrical, instrumentation and automation equipment and installations in the plant by performing the appropriate corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance actions at the lowest optimum cost and in compliance with the H&S regulations.



    • Guarantee compliance with OH&S and environment policies for electrical maintenance personnel. 
    • Establish safety culture and tackle specific actions to ensure health and safety prevention during maintenance activities. 
    • Contribute to plant housekeeping and cleanliness. 
    • Internal controls providing reasonable assurance of effective and efficient operations, including actions to prevent and detect fraud and protect Company
    • Plan and direct the work of the electrical supervisor, automation and systems engineers.
    • Determine and schedule the necessary actions of corrective and preventive electrical, instrumentation and automation maintenance in coordination with Mechanical and Preventive Maintenance Head and Supervisors to assure proper functioning of electrical, instrumentation and automation equipment and installations. 
    • Ensure electrical maintenance team full time readiness to efficiently tackle emergencies or urgent breakdowns.
    • Plan Quarterly and Annual electrical maintenance plans according to preventive maintenance plans or scheduled corrective maintenance actions.
    • Ensure Weekly and monthly and outage plans are implemented by the electrical supervisor, automation and systems engineers and their reports or contractors assigned the tasks.
    • Manage the execution of work order activities, failure data gathering (cause, symptom…), time confirmation (external and internal), and material withdrawal by electrical supervisor, automation and systems engineers. 
    • Manage execution of maintenance activities by third parties. 
    • Cooperate with Production and Process departments in the execution of complex maintenance actions.
    • Support the Maintenance Manager in the elaboration and control of the maintenance budget, ensuring planning and follow-up of costs. Implement effective and systematic solutions to achieve budget and to meet or exceed targets.
    • Communicate and implement regulations, company goals, local permits, policies and procedures; optimize the internal processes and structures. 
    • Supervise personnel to apply them consistently and ensure ISO compliance for related activities. 
    • Respect CIF and MAC standard; follow up weekly MAC targets (KPIs and SPIs).


    • Process Engineers to identify trends, patterns, biases, and other indicators that validate the correct operation of all devices.
    • Environmental Manager to ensure that all resulting data, automated reporting, and certifications meet the requirements of all applicable permits and permissions to operate.
    • Electrical Department to ensure that the supervisors and engineers and tradesmen tasked with routine maintenance of devices are properly trained; have the correct tools to perform the required work.


    Required Education: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree with 4 years of experience or High School Degree with 8 years of experience.
    Additional Education Preferred: IEEE or ISA Certifications
    Field of Study Preferred: Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering
    Required Work Experience:

    • Experience in heavy industry experience preferred
    • Experience applying FMEA techniques and knowledge of basic problem-solving tools

    Travel Requirements: < 10%
    Required Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.). PLC, Preferred Siemens and Allen Bradley. Other Systems Experience Analyzers: Tektron, Durag Siemens, Siemens Medium and Low Voltage Variable Frequency Drives.
