  • Overview


    This position will be responsible for crafting and executing a robust internal communications strategy for LafargeHolcim US that brings our company and culture to life.  In addition, this position will work with the Director and US Communications team to build and shape content, channels and corporate initiatives.  This role will also provide strategic counsel and guidance to business partners and operational leadership across the US businesses.



    • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
    • Lead the strategy and execution of internal communication programs that inform, align and engage employees, particularly the company’s field-based workforce; design strategies to reach non-desk employees across 200+ locations.
    • Find unique ways to tell employee stories by creating and publishing content such as communications plans, key messages, presentations, talking points, videos and other supporting materials as needed; ensure quality and timeliness of all written material.
    • Manage high-visibility internal communication projects, working closely with leaders in a wide variety of positions within the company, including quarterly US Town Hall meetings and Global Communications initiatives.
    • Act as subject matter expert on internal communications and strategies for reaching a remote workforce. Stay up-to-date on trends and best practices in the field and explore innovative ways to enhance outreach.
    • Serve as a strategic communications consultant to operational leaders at all levels of the organization and a functional business partner to Health & Safety, Human Resources, and Environment teams.
    • Provide solutions for effective communications and coach field-based leaders to deliver relevant and impactful communications.
    • Develop standards and processes to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of employee and internal communications.
    • Measure and assess the impact of communications activities; use data to make decisions on future communications.
    • Manage agency partners and oversee associated budgets


    • Interacts will all departments and regions of LafargeHolcim within the US
    • Maintains a relationship with agency partners



    Required Education:  Bachelor or Undergraduate Degree

    Field of Study Preferred:  Journalism, Marketing, Communications or English

    Required Work Experience:  7 years related experience

    Required Computer and Software Skills:  Microsoft Office, Google Platform, Adobe Creative Suite

    Travel Requirements:  up to 25%

    • Proven writing skills and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across a complex corporate environment with multiple brands
    • Strong project management experience with the ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous projects
    • Demonstrated ability to influence others without direct authority, gain consensus among diverse groups and functional operations
    • Able to work independently, as well as collaboratively with manager, employees, business partners and leadership
    • Familiarity with working for a global company and within a matrixed environment
