  • Overview

    PURPOSE
    The Project Engineer, in support of the Project Manager, is responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities for a single construction project. Primary client contact for all project field activities. Responsible for all job-site activities and ensures all construction operations are completed on schedule, within budget and to quality standards. May have leadership responsibility for field engineers/construction coordinators.

    Responsibilities

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical management aspects of projects. 
    • Ensure operations are in compliance with design and specifications, all construction operations are completed on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
    • Assist in the supervision of Field Engineers assigned to the project by assigning daily tasks, resolving employee relations/site issues; interpret construction drawings and specifications for trades.
    • Participate in client/contractor meetings to resolve project issues. Propose solutions to help meet deadlines and monitor related job costs.
    • Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals by providing price analysis.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
    Works closely with the General Manager, Operations Manager, Project Managers, Estimating, Finance, and Sales, and others as needed.

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
    Required Education: Bachelor's/University Degree
    Preferred field of study: Civil Engineering
    Required Work Experience: 3-5 years
    Travel Requirements: Travel to job sites

    Computer Skills:  Primavera, Oracle, Autocad, Build-to-Win
