  • Overview

    PURPOSE

    The Construction Coordinator has responsibilities in support of the Contracting Department (grading and paving operations). Assist in establishing and implementing contracts administration procedures to include: gathering and compiling data essential to the administration of prime contracts, acquiring/tracking insurance certificates, accounts payable and other administrative tasks as assigned.

    Responsibilities

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
    • Prepare Sub Contractor payment estimates
    • Prepare and administer insurance certificates
    • Formulate construction contracts.
    • Administer Accounts Payable for construction contracts.
    • Identifying project problems ie., budgets, production
    • Create and maintain job files
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
    Required Education: High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree with 0-3 years of equivalent experience.
    Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
    Field of Study Preferred: Civil Engineering, Construction Management
    Required Work Experience: 0-1 years

    • Basic knowledge of local law standards, business, construction management and accounts payable 

    Required Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft applications, Oracle, SAP, Primavera, Build to Win (job costing system)
