  • Overview

    PURPOSE

    • To provide the first line of support regarding Sales Tax to the region on Salesforce.com.
    • Perform functional training regarding Sales tax as and when required
    • Track quality of tax information being captured in FLS, Salesforce.com and SAP and report deviances and ensure corrective action is taken.
    • Assist US Tax Manager in Sales Tax audits
    • Initiate Credit/Debit Memos to make adjustments in system for improper Sales Tax charged

    Responsibilities

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
    • To provide the first line of support to the sales team on Salesforce.com
      • Monitors that the standardized procedures for tax coding as relates to Salesforce.com are consistently applied.
      • Acts as a regional help desk for Sales Tax.
      • Has expert knowledge in subject matter and ensures the transfer of this knowledge to the regional team.
    • Provides functional training on Sales Tax as and when required
      • Responsible for training of new regional team members on Sales Tax procedures.
      • Supports enhancement phases and new releases in Salesforce.com, SAP and Vertex and ensures the regional team is adequately trained for the changes using the training material provided to him/her.
    • Track quality of tax information being captured in FLS, Salesforce.com and SAP and report deviances and ensure corrective action is taken:
      • Verify Jurisdiction codes in SFDC before updating to SAP
      • Verify proper documentation is received for Sales Tax exemptions at any and all levels
      • Review of FLS edit reports to ensure proper tax coding where Various contracts are used
      • Submitting of sales orders to the front end systems once Tax coding is confirmed
      • Corrections and edits to Sales Tax coding when necessary
      • Liaising with the regional Credit Department to ensure proper tax coding
    • Assist US Tax Manager in Sales Tax audits
    • Initiate Credit/Debit Memos to make adjustments in system for improper Sales Tax charged

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Required Education:  High School diploma/GED

    Required Work Experience:   1-3 years

    Additional Requirements: Colorado tax experience preferred
