    Aggregate Industries operates seven regional construction materials businesses in the United States. The core business of producing crushed stone and sand & gravel is enhanced by downstream operations that produce ready mixed concrete, asphalt, and concrete products. In addition, recycling, liquid asphalt, soil remediation and retailing businesses are also in operation, creating true, vertically integrated divisions.

    This Sales Representative position will serve as a liaison between customers and the company by identifying and contacting current, and prospective clients, generating sales proposals, and servicing existing account.  This position will ensure quality and consistency of service and/or production delivery.  


    • Seek new accounts through cold calls and other methods in the assigned territory to expand product use, selling value added products, up and cross selling of products, and improve business growth.
    • Strong powerpoint and presentation skills required to present to new and existing customers, contractors, architects, specifiers, and owners on our Value Added Products and services.
    • Work with the Technical Department in regards to new products innovation.
    • Develop annual business plans for the assigned territory and accounts, including pricing, objectives, technical support, distribution optimization, new products, and receivables management.  
    • Maintain, develop, and enhance relationships with existing accounts within the assigned territory to ensure appropriate contacts are made, products are suggested, and viable leads are followed up on.
    • Collect market intelligence and maintain an understanding of total market volumes, trends, and key economic drivers for the assigned territory.
    • Provide first-line technical input to accounts and other stakeholders within the assigned territory.
    • Address and resolve customer service inquiries, requests, and complaints, involving quality, technical services, or other departments as required.
    • Assist with collections process as needed and within company policy
    • Provide updated sales forecasts and reporting monthly and as required for each account within the assigned territory via standard tools (Salesforce, Qlikview, SAP).
    • To uphold the strictest of safety standards and expectations. 
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Required Education:  Associates/College Degree
    Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's/University Degree
    Preferred field of study:  Sales/Marketing, Business, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering
    Required Work Experience:  5-10 years, Industry Experience preferred.  

    Computer and Software Skills:   Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Salesforce experience preferred.

    Travel Requirements:  Travel in the local sales area required.  Minimal long distance or overnight travel may be required for training or seminars.


    Additional Requirements:

    The qualified candidate will find it necessary to be competent in project management, tracking activity, and they will need to be independent, organized and self-driven with very little guideance.  

    Proven Success and Job Consistency preferred.
