  • Overview

    PURPOSE
    To provide financial support and analysis on regional results, forecasts and plans. Timely compilation of reporting and analysis to assist business leaders in making informed decisions. Collaborate with other functions to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data. Work with Corporate FP&A group to ensure reported results, forecasts and plans are accurate and variance communicated and understood.

    Responsibilities

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
    • Review and analyse regional financial results and identify areas for improvement
    • Assist in all Financial Planning activities with respect to monthly 18-month rolling forecast and Mid-Term plan.
    • Analyse financial plan data to identify potential risks/opportunities and present findings along with proposed actions to senior management for review and decision making.
    • Provide qualitative and quantitative economic assessments on key company initiatives and projects to assist management in decision making; including (but not limited to)
    • Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Economic Value Added (EVA) valuations.
    • Assist in the development of risk maps and functional plans
    • Analyse complex financial scenarios to provide detailed insight into business drivers and potential value creation opportunities; this may require gathering and interpreting of marketing, logistics, manufacturing, and system (SAP) data.
    • Represent finance on cross functional/regional projects and initiatives
    • Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports to regional management

    RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS

    • Visible role providing financial analysis and support to Finance team and Regional Management team.
    • Constant liaising, validating, challenging regional teams
    • Working closely with other functional and regional departments

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Required Education: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree

    Field of Study Preferred: Accountancy or Finance

    Required Work Experience: 3-5 years

    Licenses Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree desired, MBA/CPA/CFA/CMA a plus

    Required Computer and Software Skills: MS Office, Google suite, SAP, BPC

    Travel Requirements: 20%

    • Strong computer skills, including spread sheet and database applications
    • Previous Financial Analysis experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
    • Previous experience in Aggregates & Construction materials environment advantageous
    • Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
